I would give 0 stars if I could
The concept is great and I saw Crayola came out with a 2.0 version that has a totally different paint set up. Normally we love color wonder and we spend a lot on the markers, books, stamps and various refills because we love a no mess art option with 3 kiddos. This product however feels like a total rip off. The paint pads don't saturate the brush enough to even make a solid mark on the paper. Its like weird faded looking scratches. My kids gave up because it just simply does not work. I feel like anyone that purchased this one should get a refund or a replacement. They obviously realized this horrible design, hence version 2.0 with the actual paint pots.

Every Parent's Dream!
I still don't really understand how this works but I promise, it does and it is fantastic! No mess, no set up, no hassle; this is everything parents dream of when it comes to art. Both my 2 year old and my 7 year old love the Magic Light Brush. The colors are beautiful and it comes out clean and unmuddled. I think "magic" is exactly the right word.

No mess! Wow!
I couldn’t imagine my kids painting without making a mess now I can. With a five year old and a eight year old who loves paint this is a life saver. The set up is easy just insert the batteries and turn it on and put the magic paint brush on the paper and the pain magically appears. Kids are happy and so is mom. I can go about my business without worrying about spilled paint of spilled water cups etc. You don’t have to worry about the paint drying out etc. If your kiddos like art like mine do then they will love this. I highly recommend.

Ours must have something wrong with it…
We were excited to have this product, but there must be something defective because the colors don’t really show up on the paper and I’ve seen other videos of people having this issue and being disappointed but I don’t think a Crayola product was intended to work as poorly. We gave it to our daughter for Christmas so maybe it’s still in the warranty period or something. Hate to be harsh in a review, this is the first time I’ve ever been disappointed with a Crayola product. I can’t really tell if it’s the paper or the pen. The pen lights up and stays lit but the paper seems to not react , even after holding and pressing down hard / shortly etc.

It’s ok
While it is mess free , it’s not as fun as real paint, it was hard for my daughter to get a solid stroke , and it only kept her entertained for a few minutes then she was off to a new thing and she hasn’t asked to paint with it again. Maybe it will be fun for kids who don’t regularly use paint. My daughter paints often and we let her get messy so maybe that’s why she didn’t quite like this products too much. I think we’ll stick to regular crayola paint.

No Mess Amazing!
Wow this is the coolest ever. My 5 year old grandson loved it.Its a nice big size which is great for little hands.Its mess free.Does not get on the table or his clothes and mostly impressed that it won't get on his hands.
He was so excited to hold the thick brush and start drawing.
He thinks that I am magic person since
I gave this to him.
The colors are so bright and we will get lots of enjoyment from this product.
We trust the name Crayola for all our drawing and playtime needs.

Love this ! Awesome for little ones!
My two year old loves to paint . She loves making pictures for mommy and daddy and her sisters. This Crayola mess free paint set is amazing! She loves that it lights up over each color and the “magic” affect it does on the special paper! She asks to paint every day since we got this set! It’s also helping her to learn the names of colors . This is a must have to keep kids busy having fun and doing a craft that doesn’t require any clean up! Must buy!

My 5 year old loves it!
We bought this for my 5 year old because she loves to paint, but I don't like cleaning up her mess. This thing worked like magic and my daughter still thinks it is! Everytime she makes a new color appear on the paper, she is in awe. The colors really do only appear on the special paper and nowhere else! She got the paint all over the sleeves of her long sleeve shirt, and no color or stains were left behind! This has completely changed the children's painting game! Parents, you NEED this and I highly recommend it!

Do you put the brush in water
I'm glad you asked! There's no need to dip your Color Wonder Magic Light Brush in water to change the colors. Simply wipe the gel with a paper towel or scrap piece of paper and you're ready to go! Hope you'll enjoy making bluetiful masterpieces :)

This product is AWESOME... however my toddler is still learning marker and paint dry out. I’ve noticed that our paint pad is getting a bit dry... is there any way to give it new life? Water? “Ink” refills?

I have lots of color wonder products but the only one that makes a big mess is the five finger paint it’s clear but gets globs everywhere. I have Been wondering if this new one is similar? It looks like a pad?
