I love these!
I am really, really surprised by the negative reviews. I LOVE these. I love that they color more like a crayon than a pencil, I have NEVER had issues with the lead breaking and they last forever, so "waste" isn't even an issue. I also have never had any problems with the lead not holding. Love the twistable, love the colors, love that you don't have to sharpen them and I find them PERFECT for adult coloring. No issues with small spaces. If your spaces are that small, then I suggest you use actual pencils that you sharpen. I have two sets of them and use them a lot. I would like to see like a set of 64 different colors.

Please stop making this product
These were given to my child as a gift. I am appalled at the amount of waste that you are left with. They aren’t recyclable due to the pencil being left. There are no refills to make you feel better about the mountain of plastic you are left with. So Crayola, and all you smart people sitting in a board room saying this was a good idea, imagine the pile of trash you end up with when every person that purchased this has used it til the end and are left with empty plastic cylinders. Appalling!! Also a good amount of the pencil is left inside and not useable. Please for the love of our planet stop making this product.

Makes a lot of plastic trash
We received these as a gift and I thought they would be cool if you could purchase refills in order to re-use the plastic container around the twistable colored pencil. Unfortunately, Crayola does not offer refill. It's a one-use and into the trash concept. What a bummer! We're teaching our children to use plastic and toss into the trash rather than instill sustainable living. We did have a nice chat with my son about why wooden pencils are better...as he said, "You can just sharpen them." Exactly. Please Crayola, let's think toward longet-term use and sustainable products for our kiddos.

My favorite but..
The Twistable Colored Pencils are my absolute favorite and I adore them but can you PLEASE print the shade names on the tubes?! Some colors are only a shade in difference and super hard to tell apart. In all honestly, if y'all can afford to print all the fancy swirls, Crayola symbol and the word Twistables, y'all can print color names too.

Almost perfect...
Almost perfect except they don't have their colors written on them. It irritated me enough that I labled them myself, and I constantly wonder if I got the colors right. I also wish that they were refillable. Plastic vs Wood plastic can be the more sustainable choice but only IF refills are made. I do understand from a business standpoint that certain colors wouldn’t sell as well as others, but I also believe a company as competent as Crayola would be able to figure out which colors are colored with the most and sell those in refill packs. My "leads" have never broke, I assume dry air might cause that. Even my 5 yo uses them I just keep the lead very short.

easily broken, not refillable
This were a gift for my daughter and they are terrible. If you could refill them, I might have given them 2 or 3 stars. The lead will break constantly if it is pushed out more than 1/8". Once the "color stick" is gone, you cannot refill it so the entire plastic tube goes in the trash. The twist mechanism has also broken on several of them rendering them useless. A case was included and it is even useless because regular pencils are too long to fit inside. Not eco-friendly in any way. Very disappointed in Crayola.

Great idea, I love it.
The twistables are a great idea, my daughter got this as a gift and she love it.
But, will be a really good idea to rehuse the container by using replacements instead of throw it after use/broken.

Some colors rolls down while coloring
I bought this product thinking that they would be better quality for the school year for both of my girls. They told me that while coloring some colors rolled down, I tried them myself it was true. Also the lead breaks very easily and they really aren't colored pencils they're more like fine crayons. In apperance they're very nice, but they would be better if they had refills and the lead didn't roll down. I'm disappointed, this product could be better.

Are these eraseable?
Let me get straight to the point! This set of Crayola Twistables Colored Pencils are not erasable. If you are looking for a colorful do-over option, you'll want to check for the 12-count set of Crayola Erasable Twistables Colored Pencils. Hope this helps!

Do these tell you which color you are using on the pencil? My boys are Color blind to red/green and certain shades.
Denny, here! Twistables Colored Pencils do not have their color names printed on the packaging. I'd suggest checking out our traditional Colored Pencils, which do have the names labeled.

Are twistable pencils colorfast and washable? Does seeing the color twitter heat or ironing?
I have checked with my pack, and found that Twistables Colored Pencils do contain colorants which may stain. Although your masterpiece will last for years to come, the color pigments contained in most Crayola products are not permanent and will fade over time when exposed to strong light. If you should need any further assistance, our Colorful Care Team is here to help at 1-800-CRAYOLA- tell them Denny sent you!
