Does the sealed pouches of Model Magic expire?
Great question! Opened Model Magic can be stored in an air-tight container but should be used within a few days, as it is designed to dry and harden over a brief period of time. It is difficult to provide an exact shelf life, because it depends on how and where they have been stored. Our products are generally tested on the basis of how they are used, rather than how long they have remained unused. Generally, you can expect your Model Magic to have a shelf life of approximately 24 months. If you have any other questions, please do not hesitate to call us at 1-800-CRAYOLA.

Can the clay be used out in weather?
Denny knows! Crayola Model Magic is not designed to withstand the outdoor elements. My pack suggests you display your masterpiece indoors. Hope this helps!

Does this stain furniture or clothes?
Hi Rollo,
Denny here and I've got the scoop! As noted in our stain advisement on the packaging, Crayola Model Magic contains colorants that may stain. Do not place Model Magic directly on household surfaces to dry. To avoid staining, it's best practice to protect your work surfaces. Hope this helps!

How big is the box?
Hi Rhuby,
Denny here. Do I have “blues” for you! The cardboard box that contains our colorful Model Magic Variety Pack is about 11.31 x 9.31 x 5.13 inches in size. I hope this magic rainbow will be the perfect fit!

Im a kindergarten teacher with a student that has Celiac’s disease. Her mom says that there is gluten in Play doh (Im sure due to some type of flour, maybe?) Is the Model Magic gluten free? Would there be cross contamination issues? Thank you.
Denny can help! At this time, Crayola Model Magic does not contain wheat or any grains known to be a source of gluten. Several other Crayola products do contain wheat and since multiple Crayola products are produced in the same manufacturing facilities and on the same machinery, there is a slight chance of cross-contamination. The machinery used to manufacture Crayola products is cleaned between production runs in a manner that meets or exceeds all regulations. My pack is here if you have any additional questions. Contact us at 1-800-CRAYOLA. Hope this helps!
