Fun art project for the little one
Was looking for activities to keep my 3yo daughter busy during the COVID-19 pandemic. Like everyone says, it's not perfect, but it was perfectly fine to keep a kid entertained for 30 minutes. It takes some trial and error to get it right, and I used painter's tape to secure the edges of the paper. My daughter is into sprinkles and cupcakes so it was a nice little activity.
Now, what to do with the giant container after we're done with the activity? Not sure... Maybe if Crayola carried some replacement sprinkles and paper, it would see some reuse.

Frustrating and disappointing
We bought this for my daughter and she’s very artistic and capable but this was awful for her and ruined a night of Hanukkah for us. She had trouble with the glue being too thick, she couldn’t get the sprinkles back in the bottle without help (it took me a while!) Her finished product was ruined because of the thick glue that wouldn’t dry and turned into a weird liquid. We’re usually very big fans of crayola products, but this was a big miss.

Would not buy again
Christmas gift. We went to use it and the paper doesnt even stay flat so when you shake the beads they roll behind the paper not really on top, it was just not fun , didnt look pretty, and my 5 year old was over it pretty fast because it just wouldnt work well. Waste of money. In my opinion.

Sprinkle Art Shaker
I thought it was a really cool activity until we got it and tried to do it... Summer of the colorful balls were not sticking where we put the glue It was complicated for my 8-year-old to be successful and for right now it's just sitting in a corner collecting dust She got frustrated.. I think the product is more for older children who want to be creative and have some patience.. I have to say all the products were good quality.

Disappointing
Good idea but just doesn’t work great. Straps don’t really hold paper in place. Beads get stuck in straps and under paper. Beads are tough to roll back into the container. If you don’t get them all in the first shot more just roll out on your second attempt. My 6 year old lost interest after just a few minutes. She wants to do more of the craft herself than needing me to constantly take over to try to get the thing working properly. This one was a waste for us.

Are the sprinkles edible or not?!?
The directions explicitly say "non-edible sprinkles" and yet my daughter must have tried one and realized they taste like candy. Not sure how many she ate. I tried to explain to her that they were plastic and she disagreed. I actually tried one and she is right! It taste like sugar!
Seems to me if you don't want kids to eat them, you ought not to have them taste like a treat. Pick one. This seems wrong on so many levels, absolutely ridiculous, and total fail of a child's product.

My daughter loved the original coloring pages for the Sprinkle Art Shaker. Where can I download them again for her?
I’m a crayon with a plan! Ran out of design sheets? Use any paper that fits the unit such as magazine pages, printer paper and coloring pages! This should help your daughter get back to some colorful masterpieces. And tell her Denny says "Hi !".

Can you use glitter with this toy?
Denny here and happy to help! While we do not recommend glitter as a refill, our Sprinkle Art Activity Packs are just the thing to keep the fun going. They offer adhesive paper (no glue needed) and sprinkles. Find them at your local retail stores.

May I know if the sprinkle beads are made of edible material? The beads dissolved and became soft in a while and my son accidentally ingested some.
Although we like to play here at Crayola, we take the safety of little ones using our products seriously.
