Rated 1 out of 5 by from Formula changed and now there’s hardly any color I bought the bath dropz now in a shaker (that’s the only version I can find now) and the formula has been completely changed for these tablets. They look different and they no longer color the water as they used to. I would use two tablets and the color of the water would be vivid. Now there’s barely any color. Please revert your formula back.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from The new ones don’t work! We were a faithful purchaser of these. We ran out and bought more- to find out they have been changed and no longer work!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Trash. Before you reply Crayola intern - I already read your replies to the other low reviews. I'm not calling an 800# to complain to the company you outsourced to. Its your name and reputation on the package. The old version was great, you used a new company without doing any QA and this version sucks. You've done bad and you should feel bad. I guess I'll go throw out the ones I have left - they aren't worth the time and effort to use them.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Stop apologizing and fix it, Crayola! I have reviewed this product before, when I first purchased the new formula. Boy was I disappointed. While I was promised by the partner company that I would be refunded, it took about 3 months. I don't disagree that they were very kind and apologetic/professional; however, it's time, Crayola, to fix this. It would be one thing to have a lot come up wanting. This is not a faulty lot; this is a TERRIBLE product now and I would give it 0 stars if I could. I think we got about 4-5 baths out of 60 drops because the colors were utterly pathetic (pathetic may actually be too kind). Either discontinue the product altogether so that we loyal Color Bath Dropz users stop looking for them, or find another manufacturer. I'll certainly try again if you swap formulas, but I'll be looking for other companies' products from here on out. I'm just tired of seeing your customer service apologize and/or pass the buck on negative reviews. It's not a good look.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not made in USA anymore We’ve bought these for years, first for our 11 yr old when he was little, now for our 3 yr old. They enjoy making different colors and it’s become a tradition. I am very cautious when making purchases for my kids and noticed that the packaging now indicates they are no longer made in the USA. I’m just not willing to gamble with these types of things, so though our daughter is disappointed we won’t be purchasing this product any more unless it goes back. Judging by the other reviews we aren’t missing much anyway. Very sad.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Better quality before I have bought at least 3 before the last one and my kids use 2 drops daily, the old ones did actually colored the water. This “new” box is nothing like the old the water is clear, and this one have one blue and one pink, my kids are very disappointed about this the quality has decreased tremendously

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Changed the formula and ruined the tabs These used to be great, five stars all the way, but the latest batch we got is different. The tabs themselves look very different, larger and brighter, but they don’t work nearly as well. 1-2 tabs used to give a full tub bright vibrant colors. I just used 4 in my sons bath and it barely made the water murky. Also, these say fragrance free, and the old ones were, but the new tabs definitely have some sort of fragrance to them. This is especially important to us as my wife has a fragrance allergy. Please go back to the old formula!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from What did you do with the color??? My kids loved the color dropz, so I was excited to order a new set on Amazon. We used them for the first time last night and I was so confused. What happened to the color? With 4 dropz in the tub, the water was barely pink! I called the phone number you listed in previous comments, but have not received a call back. Please tell me you are going to fix this? It was such a waste of money and my 4 year old was so bummed out.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Changed the formula and now made in CHINA! Used these all the time, loved the colors and were great to use to teach colors and mixing. Until I bought a new batch and discovered they changed the formula adding SULFATES! Also, they now are made in China?! They barely color the water and are just a waste of money now! Will not buy every again!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing entertainment I bought this for my 3-year-old son a month ago and he loves it. He uses them in the bath and refuses to take one without them. Amazing product that makes my son excited to take a bath.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from New formula is awful! I've been buying these tabs for years, my kids love them. However in the past month it so they changed formulas. Instead of 2 tabs making the water really vibrant I have to put in 4 and almost no change happens. They're awful! Please go back to how they were before!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from New formulation is terrible I echo the same thing that all the other reviewers have stated. I bought these on iherb as well. It was one of the few things that got my 4yo and 2yo to drop what they were doing to take a bath. Until now. The new formulation was an immediate disappointment to the kids. “Why isn’t it working daddy?” “Why does it feel different daddy?” Do NOT buy until they fix this.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible new formula! I've been buying this product for years and my children love the brightly colored baths. However, I bought several cans of the"new" formula in January and it is terrible. It hardly colors the water at all and you have to smash the tablets instead of them just dissolving. They also turn to dust in the container before you can actually use most of them. Very disappointing. I wish crayola actually cared about all these bad reviews and did something about the terrible product with their name on it instead of just telling everyone to call a number for a different company. I guess I'll be spreading the word that crayola doesn't actually care what the quality of their products are. I will call that number, but I wish crayola handled their own problems.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from New shaker drops simply don't work My kids have loved these in the past, but the Centric Beauty licensed product doesn't work at all. We add over 5 drops at a time and the color is still very light. So disappointing and frustrating as a parent to have to deal with these type of things. Kids don't understand easily when something they have grown used to suddenly doesn't work. I'll contact Centric Beauty, but these still have the Crayola brand name on them and it should still stand for reliable, good quality. These are at the very opposite end of high-quality.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Really, Crayola? Last Christmas I bought my 3 yr old a container of Bath Dropz, she LOVED them. The colours were vivid, they were easy to use, everyone was happy. They recently ran out so I ordered more - and wow. The new formula is terrible. The colours are almost transparent, even using several tablets there is hardly a difference to the colour of the water. It's absolutely pointless using them, my daughter asked me if her "colour bath" was broken. The company you've contracted to produce these has really stuffed up. The dust left in the old container actually put more colour in the water than 3 tabs did.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from The new formula is terrible!! I don’t know what changed in this new formula but it is terrible!! From the looks of other reviews, it appears Crayola needs to get involved with who is making these and get it fixed! The colors are extremely muted and embarrassing. My child doesn’t understand why it isn’t even close to how it was before. Disappointed! If the product was like it used to be, I’d recommend it. Now, stay away and save your money!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from So dissatisfied Super disappointed. We bought these all the time for my daughter and she absolutely loved them. She loved mixing the colors and coming up with new combinations. We recently purchased your "new and improved " bath dropz. She was so excited when she opened the package since we had run out, that she had to take a bath immediately. Just to be disappointed. We put in 10 of the tablets with still almost no color change. This is just sad. We've come to expect great things from Crayola.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from New look worse product We have been buying these for our kids for a while now and picked up a new set. The new container says Shaker bath Dropz now and the tabs look different. Tabs take much longer to dissolve and the colors are very light dull and dingy. Don't waste your money on this product. We are returning what we just bought and not coming back.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from New Formula is TERRIBLE :( I have spent hundreds of dollars buying these dropz for my business over the past couple years and I just received a batch with a new formula. This is garbage as you can see in the photo. The photo is a blue and red chip combined. No one wants a grey bath. I will have to figure out how to make my own bath drops. So disappointing.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from New formula / manufacturer is awful! Do not buy. We’ve been using these with our child for a few years and just received the “improved formula” which is an absolute disappointment. It seems Crayola has heard the feedback and is no longer selling these on the website, but it’s still available at other sellers (like Target). I’ll be switching to the competitor product which remains made in the USA and has good reviews. I don’t suggest anyone purchase these until crayola confirms they have changed back to the old manufacturer.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Sad they changed Old tablets were a muted blue, red and yellow and provided beautiful colors in the bath. New tablets are vibrant pink, yellow and blue and provide no color to the water. So disappointing. Please provide name of former distributor and I will buy directly from them.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don’t try to reinvent the wheel The original formula marketed as Color Dropz were great! About 2 years ago I bought the Shaker Color Dropz. I used them once and they went in the can. Centric Beauty, this was a major fail! I was so have when I found some of the original Color Drops at Target the other day. So, you guessed it! I bought them all. The only colors I use, even of the original, are the blue and yellow. The red tends to fade quickly. I recommend the original but don’t waste your money on the “Shaker” version. Crayola, please inform Centric Beauty that the new formula is hired it

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Used to be amazing I get these shipped to the UK. My autistic daughter loved them it was the only way I could get her in the bath. Now they are rubbish bearly tint the water the colours used to be amazing. Please change back From a desperate mum

Rated 1 out of 5 by from What happened to the color quality? We’ve been buying these for our toddler for a few years. The container says “new and improved flip-top kid” but they clearly changed something in the color drops. We normally would use 2 drops for a bright color. We bought this “new and improved” container and the colors barely show up in the water. We used 6 drops and barely any color. I’m so disappointed. The older product was so much better. The colors were vibrant and now they’re weak.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from New formula sucks We have been faithful buyers of this product for many years. Since changing formulas this product has really went downhill. We are absolutely disappointed. we thought maybe it was just a one-off thing and then we bought four or five containers from different places and still had the same problem. It doesn't matter how many pieces you use the water stays pretty much clear and leaves a disgusting film in the tub. we will definitely not be customers anymore after this and will not be recommending to our family and friends like we used to. Very disappointing

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Something changed...but it wasn't the tub color. We've been buying these for years and loved them. I bought some more last week--the container looks different, the tabs look bright and vibrant, but when you put them in the tub the color barely changes. I'm frustrated and so is my son. Why did you change the formula? We're the old ones unsafe? If so, you should probably inform the public. If not, then did you guys just cheap out and start making them with poor ingredients?

Rated 1 out of 5 by from New drops are horrible We have happily used bath drops with my 3 littles for the last 5 years but the recent formula change is horrible. Not enough to color the kitchen sink. Please bring back the prior formula!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Please change the formula back These used to be amazing, and even just one would make the bath so vibrant ! Now it takes 5+ to get any type of color in the bath. I beg you, please change the formula back

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible product These are not the original bath dropz. They are a much fizzier but faded version of the original. If you buy these you WASTED YOUR MONEY... so you've been warned

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Doesn’t color water!! I used to buy the Bath Drops for my grandkids and they gave the bath a very vibrant color. They have changed the formula and they now have “shaker” on the container and are awful!! DO NOT tell me to contact the people you outsourced to - you should be doing your job and finding out yourselves why the quality is so poor. I am done with Crayola products if that is how you provide customer service.

What Coloring agents are used? It says may contain red 40. My daughter is allergic to red food dye. Do the bath bombs contain red 40? Or are they just possibly cross contaminated from other products made in the same facility.

Why do all of the bath drops have holes in the seal?

Asked by: Payge
Denny knows! The small hole in the packaging is placed there intentionally during manufacturing. It helps to keep air circulating through the container to prevent moisture from building up and activating the tablets before you are ready to add a splash of colorful fun to bath time. Hope this helps solve the mystery!

Are the bath drops supposed to have a hole in the wrapping under the green lid? Like the plastic layer that you rip off?

Thank you for reaching out. The small hole in the packaging is placed there intentionally during manufacturing. The hole helps to keep air circulating through the container to prevent moisture from building up and activating the tablets.
