Disappointed - paint too dry
My 4-year-old was so excited to try this out, but the paint barely made a mark on the included paper. I tried rubbing the brush several times, ensuring that I pushed it into the paint really well, and it still didn't do much on the paper. My daughter hasn't touched it since the first try since it just wasn't doing much at all.

A little slow to react to the paper
Bought this for my kids age 3 and 1 and while they loved the lights and the concept it look to long for the color to show up on the paper leaving them frustrated. Also, according to the directions you need to clean it all once your done but how do you really know it’s clean

Wonderful

Horrible- Does Not Work
My son received this as a birthday gift and was very excited to try it out. The idea of the set is great, but it does not work at all. The paint does not saturate the brush and just leaves little colored scratch marks on the paper. My son grew very frustrated quickly and the brush was ruined after one use from him trying to push hard to get it to paint. I would not recommend this as a gift for any child.

Honestly I’m super disappointed. I bought these for my 2 kids and works horrible. In the video Ad the little girl is making a full line stroke. And our looks like chicken scratch. Our kids played with it for 5 minutes and gave up because of it not actually making cohesive lines. Definitely don’t recommend
The 3rd picture is me just doing a single stroke and as you can see there is BARELY a line.

Love it!
I have a two year old and having things around the house that are mess free help out tremendously! He absolutely loves to play with this and will sit for hours with this. I would recommend this to other parents who have young kids.

Allows kids to create without the mess
No laying down newspaper, no spilt glass of risen water. This is a godsend! I can see this getting many hours of use and I will be more then happy to say yes when my son asks to use it. Down side is that special paper and paint refills have to be purchased when initial amount is used up and obviously they cost more then traditional paper and paint. It’s worth the cost if it saves my walls, furniture and clothing!

Not my favorite
The concept of this is fun. I would not call it mess free necessarily because it does leave a film on skin and clothes and countertops (however the instructions do tell you to have a good place set up to color). We really worked on wiping the brush off between colors I would recommend this for the older age spectrum more than the younger. My sister (11) loved this even more than my child.

Kid Tested, Parent Approved
My nephew is Autistic and has to be monitored when painting or coloring as he likes to draw on the walls. I gave this to him and he was so excited to use it. He loved how the "paint brush" changed colors. He doodled on it for hours. It was very easy for him to understand how to switch colors and paint once we showed him. My brother was happy because when he tried painting the walls there was nothing there and it really did not leave any marks. I am really happy with this product and so is my brother and his son.

Horrible product! Save your money!
I would give this zero stars if I could. The “paint” doesn’t work at all! My 3 year old is disappointed and his mommy is out $20! There is no substitution for real paint. I wish I kept the box to return. In the garbage it goes!

The actual product is awesome. It keeps my nieces busy forever. However, you can paper refills but not the paint. So they want you to buy a whole new kit for $24.99??? That doesn't make any sense.

Great fun!
I bought this for my son cause he likes to doodle on everything. I hoped that this would deter him from decorating my walls. He gets really excited when paint brush lights up when he dips the brush in the paint. What I like most about his new paint set is that it only appears on special Color Wonder Paper, not on skin, clothing, or walls. I need to get him some more color wonder paper. I recommend this for any child that loves to color they will really enjoy it.

So fun!
My daughter is so happy with this little art project. The mess free products are always great because there is no mess for the parent to have to clean up after. Plus this paint brush lights up which is so cool to my daughter. It's hard to find activities that keep her attention for very long and I think because this lights up, it keeps her entertained. I am so happy she gets time away from her tablet doing something creative.

Wonder magic light brush mess free painting
I really wanted to get this for my nephew. Being 3 and on the autistic spectrum it’s difficult To find activities for him that doesn’t require a lot of noise, loud noises or mess. This was absolutely perfect! Just add water and the colors just “magically” appear. The set up was easy. Just add water and let him go! I’m actually getting 2 more for my other nephews. The no mess was the deciding factor for me!!

Mess free!
As parents living in a rental with a toddler, crayons and markers are a nightmare! Color Wonder Magic has changed that for us. It requires 3 AA batteries and the magic begins. You can hover the pen over each color and the base changes to that color! The best part of this is that it is completely mess free and will not stain anything even if they draw on themselves or anything else.

No mess! Tips on getting a nice stroke
If you want a good solid stroke, you have to really move your brush around a few times in the color and add a tiny bit of pressure doing so. Then make your strokes a little slower than typical if possible. I know it’s harder for Little’s to understand but it’s a lot of fun! Played with it with my 2.5 year old son! I know my 6 year old daughter would love it as well!

Mess FREE!
My daughter and I both love this product! She is always begging to paint, and I usually say no because it’s a long, involved, and often messy project! But this is something she can get out and set up on her own, and it leaves no mess behind! Her creations are ready to be hung or gifted, and then we just put it back with her craft supplies. We both love it!

No Mess, Happy Mom
I bought this as I have two sons. They're very artistic which is great but I can't afford to have paint messes all over my house. The color wonder magic light brush mess free paint set made everyone happy. They were able to paint freely and express themselves. The paint set kept them entertained while I was able to cook dinner and clean the kitchen.

Truly Magical !!!
The Crayola Color Wonder mess free painting set really is so magical. My son is on the spectrum and absolutely loves anything where he can be creative. It can be hard sometimes though, since things can get pretty messy and I have to keep a constant eye on him. Thankfully Crayola has made this mess free painting set. It is a life saver. It comes with a light up paintbrush and color set, and includes several sheets of paper. My son can paint away and make fun art without making a mess on anything. I dont have to worry about him coloring on the table or his clothes while I'm doing household chores. I can feel comfortable knowing he is having a great time and not making a mess all over my house. It's super easy to use and so much fun. My son will play with it for hours at a time and now he ask to paint constantly. He really lights up everytime he sees it. This is such an awesome set from Crayola. I have a happy kid and I'm one happy momma.

Awesome Idea
I’m all about new, improved, and innovative. And this paint set is all three! First of all, I love the no mess ordeal, my daughter didn’t seem to mind, and she just kept painting and painting for almost two hours. I’m almost certain she would’ve kept going, if I didn’t stop her for dinner. Cool set.

This has got to be one of the coolest things my son has ever gotten. It comes with a lot of paper and is super easy to figure out. There is absolutely no mess and when I tell you it’s like magic, it’s literally like magic. My mom and I were so amazed by it. SO cool. Would definitely recommend!!

This paint set is amazing. My daughter absolutely loves it and I love that it is mess and worry free! She loves the magic color changing brush. She can create mess free paintings and has a blast doing so. No worry of paint on clothing etc but it shows up like regular paint would on the paper!

Color Wonder Magic Light Brush, Mess Free Painting is a lot of fun. I am a fan of all of the color wonder options that crayola has made. We take them wherever we go. This new light up brush painting option is just as great as the markers and finger paint. It really is mess free and fun.

My daughter loves to paint so this is perfect. The paint (gel) its a little sticky, but not hard to clean. If you do not clean the brush every use, you will have a mixed of colors on the paper. It takes a while to dry but at the end the paint looks beautiful and shinny.

After one day looks like scratches
The day it came it worked perfecly fine but after we put it up the paint protecter wouldn't go on rightand after opening it on the second day it looked like scratches trying to paint with it the paints are still pristine its the brush that is messed up

Nothing is happening
The colors are not showing up on the paper. & you have to brush/scribble on the paper just to see strokes: but the strokes on the paper looks like the brush was dipped in water. Very disappointed in this product: i wish I could return it.

Not as advertised
The paint does not come out as advertised. Doesn't matter how hard you put the brush on the paint the paint barely draws on the paper. They played with it all of maybe 5 minutes tops before moving on to the next thing.

Just opened for the first time. Was wondering if the colors ever need to be refilled or will they run out or dry up? If this does happen where to go to get more or what do you do re moisten so it can get used again or does this just have to get replaced?
Great question! At this time, refill ink pads are not sold separately. But there is no reason to think your child won't get many hours of colorful fun from this product. The magic of Color Wonder is that the clear inks last much longer than standard inks. Hope this helps!

Are the pages pre designed? Like is the water making the colors come out of the pages, are the kids actaully doing the drawings and chooseing the colors?
