Need to List dry time on box
I bought this as an activity for my niece and nephew to do when they slept over. I wasn’t going to buy it because the box did not indicate how long the clay takes to dry but I forgot to put it back on the shelf and ending up buying it. Since I had it, we took it out and filled the mold. After that, I went to the website to see if there were any comments about drying time. I was very annoyed to read that it takes 24-72 hours to dry. That really needs to be on the box. It is useless to us. It looks great in the mold. I’m sure that once it dries, it will be fun to paint and a nice momento from our sleepover. My only gripe is that the dry time is not indicated on the box.

Texture Pots Craft Kit
I bought 3 of these kits for our grandchildren, thinking it would be a quick and fun project. It was totally frustrating. The plastic forms to mold the clay pots would not stay closed and we ended up wrapping packing tape around them. Plus there was no information in the instructions as to how long it would take for the clay to dry so the pots could be painted. News flash - it took 4 days for them to completely dry. By that time, the grandkids had gone home and the pots will have to be painted the next time they visit. Would definitely not recommend this product.

Needs more info
This is a nice idea, but you seriously need to have MORE info included in the package, and not a cliff notes version, with instructions to go to the website, advertised as quick and easy, but that is false.

Needs better directions
There is no reference as to how long it takes for the clay to dry. I had to look it up on your website and found an answer to someone else's review. This is an important thing and should be included in the instructions.

Agree with others re: instructions
We definitely had a hard time figuring out how to make the pot. There are no instructions on how to use the plastic molding sheets, and it's not intuitive. My daughter ended up winging it and doing it free-hand and using a toothpick to make a design. Good thing she's craftier than I am! SOME set of directions for guidance would be helpful... please.

HOW!?
there are no specific instructions on how to use the molds. there's no information for how long it needs to dry nothing. thank goodness i took a clay class many moons ago and was able to just help my son free hand it, but this is not user friendly at all

2-3 day project
Fun project, but an approximate drying time should be included in the instructions, so you can plan ahead and the kids can know in advance that it cannot be completed in one day.

Drying time
When this was brought home for me and my grandbaby to do I thought Great! No baking, surely it'll dry in no time. Nope, we started at 1230 and after finally getting it to stay together, an hour later, my grandbaby had lost total interest. It is now 530pm and the clay is still to wet to paint.

can we bake in stove?
Denny knows! My pack does not recommend using any Crayola art materials, wet or dry, near an open flame, in an oven, microwave or kiln unless indicated with specific product instructions, such as the Crayola Paper Maker. Exposing your masterpiece made with the Crayola Air-Dry Clay included in this kit to high heat sources will cause it to dry out, crack, and discolor. The clay is meant to air-dry so once you form your clay pot, allow it to dry completely before decorating. Enjoy the creative process!

We got the confetti coaster & dish set with the Air-Dry Clay that you shape the coasters, then sprinkle with crayon shavings & seal with the enclose glaze. No where does it say if you have to let the clay dry 1st or for how long or anything?
Denny to the rescue! My pack suggests waiting until the Air-Dry Clay is dry to seal your work with the glaze. This can take anywhere between 24 and 72 hours, based on the piece. If we can be of any further assistance, please contact my Colorful Care Team at 1-800-CRAYOLA, and tell them Denny sent you!
