Which is the best paint to use with air dry clay

Asked by: Lily
I am not saying this because I am biased - any Crayola paint would be a great choice. My personal recommendations are acrylic, tempera, washable and watercolors. Depending on who is doing the painting, you may want to also consider a washable vs. nonwashable paint product. You'll know because the package and product description will say if it's washable. Either way, we've got you covered!

Denny to the rescue! My team and I have put our tips together and have some advice to share when using Crayola Air-Dry Clay. First, do not bake the clay. If you do, it will not reinforce it - it will warp and discolor your sculpture. We don't want that to happen! Let the clay dry a little longer before handling. It takes up to 72 hours for the clay to fully dry. Once dry, feel free to add your colorful touch with Crayola paints. If you need further help, my pack is here for you at Tell them Denny sent you!

Can you put liquid in the project

Asked by: JessieR
I’m happy to share some of my expert tips with you! Water can be added to Air-Dry Clay to soften or join pieces. If too much water is added, simply allow clay to sit until excess water has evaporated. Just be careful not to get your project wet after it’s fully dry. Have a blast sculpting your masterpieces!

Can we bake this product to dry it faster?

Asked by: Cat73
Denny, here! I do not suggest putting your creation in a kiln or oven. Your Air-Dry Clay masterpiece will typically dry within about 24-48 hours on its own, and be for display in no time!
